Language courses include Chinese Language Art (CLA), English Language Art (ELA) and English as second language courses (ESL). Chinese Language Art courses include basic introductory language courses, college courses and Chinese culture courses, with particular emphasis on the study of studying Chinese classics to improve students’ comprehensive humanistic literacy; English Language Art courses and English as second language courses adopt hierarchical teaching to strengthen the language foundation and application ability. At the same time, it focuses on teaching traditional English literature knowledge and the learning various Western culture understandings.

Faculty: Teachers in the CLA group graduated from Beijing Normal University, National University of Singapore，and other domestic and foreign institutions of higher learning, all with a master's degree or above. The average teaching age is more than ten years. Teachers have served in well-known public and international schools in China and abroad. Teachers all have enriched experience and deep understanding of Chinese teaching in the field of academic research on Chinese teaching and multicultural backgrounds.
All foreign teachers in the ELA and ESL group come from English-speaking countries in the United Kingdom and the United States, with an average teaching experience of more than 15 years, rich teaching experience, and flexible classroom interaction. In addition to reading books in class, teachers will also introduce various forms of literary content into classroom teaching, such as language analysis of Broadway classic musical scripts, appreciation of Western film art, etc. In addition, teachers offer comprehensive courses such as English writing for students to choose from.

Hierarchical teaching is adopted at the Middle School level, and multiple courses are offered at the High School level according to the students' course selection direction. The proportion of mathematics courses in Middle Schools has increased, Local and International teachers are jointly preparing lessons, and the class will be taught in both Chinese and English. The High School courses are all taught in English, offering algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and related AP courses. While teaching core courses, the school also provides special international competitions to help students improve their academic backgrounds.

Faculty: The Local and International teachers in the mathematics group graduated from world-renowned universities such as Imperial College London and the University of Glasgow. They have rich teaching experience in international education and teaching, and some teachers have also held senior management positions in multinational companies. Practical applications in specific industries have practical understanding and research.

Science courses are broad disciplines, covering biology, physics, chemistry，and earth sciences, with scientific experiment courses to improve students' experimental operation ability. The school provides honor courses and AP courses in related subjects in High School. Curriculum teaching draws on the STEM interdisciplinary teaching method, adopts the PBL teaching model, unifies the use of scientific knowledge and tools and the process of creative production, cultivates students' critical thinking, and improves students' ability to solve practical problems.

Faculty: Teachers graduated from well-known universities in China and abroad, such as Cambridge University, California Institute of Technology, Purdue University, New York University, Tsinghua University, etc., with 100% master's degree (2 PhDs). Many teachers hold multidisciplinary degree certificates, are familiar with the teaching content and characteristics of IB, AP and A-level courses, and have rich experience in STEAM teaching and research, especially in interdisciplinary knowledge teaching.

The social studies courses include Chinese social studies and English social studies. In addition to the basic knowledge involved in the nine-year compulsory education syllabus, it also has world history, economics, psychology, American history, marketing, financial management, and related AP courses. The social studies courses focus on being "people-oriented", guiding students to establish a correct outlook on life, values, and world views, and fostering students' comprehensive humanistic qualities.

Faculty: Teachers graduated from Harvard University, University of Pennsylvania, University of Warwick, Peking University, Beijing Normal University，and other well-known universities from China and abroad, with professional academic background and rich teaching experience. Local and International teachers jointly prepare lessons, innovate interactive teaching models, set classes in museums, and science and technology museums, invite social celebrities to participate in classroom lectures, encourage students to participate in academic research, and conduct multicultural background knowledge integration exploration.

In Middle School, the teaching content ranges from the introduction of computer science to basic programming and computer principles. The difficulty of knowledge is gradually advanced; the high school offers programming, robotics, creative design，and related AP courses. The school attaches great importance to cultivating students' creative thinking ability and interdisciplinary knowledge integration ability. Based on the basic knowledge of computer theory, it also teaches knowledge and skills in graphic design, website development, and media post-production.

Many teachers have multidisciplinary academic backgrounds such as mathematics, chemistry, and computer and jointly carry out STEAM interdisciplinary teaching activities with teachers of science and art subjects.

In addition to basic music theory courses, the school offers four professional lessons in choirs, band, piano and strings in each grade to meet the diverse curriculum needs of students. Students can choose their classes at the beginning of the semester. According to the different performance levels of students, each professional course provides essential course guidance, advanced course enhancement and special concert performance training. The school provides students with a broad platform and encourages every student to show themselves on the Kaiwen stage.

Teachers come from well-known music academies from China and aboard, such as the Bremen Academy of Arts and the Central Conservatory of Music. At the height of strategic cooperation, Kaiwen Education has introduced abundant external teaching resources. It has reached strategic cooperation with the Berkeley Conservatory of Music in the United States, the Westminster Choral College,and the Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in the United Kingdom.

At the Middle School level, the school offers art general art education courses, which include art history, basic art theory, basic art material application, and exceptional technique improvement, and cultivates artistic interests in introductory art courses such as sketching, sculpture, printmaking, and improves artistic accomplishment.
The high school stage focuses on cultivating students' creative and innovative thinking. The teaching content includes graphic design, fashion design, paper crafts, public art appreciation, and AP art courses. Through thematic project-based learning, students are guided to integrate the science and technology of natural sciences and the social care of the humanities into the artworks, and the comprehensive artistic quality of students is improved through the integration of disciplines.

They have rich experience and professional achievements in education and teaching and their respective art professional fields. The art teacher team advocates the integration of the characteristics of Chinese and Western art education. It supports using art disciplines to cultivate and enhance students' aesthetic ability while guiding them to think in multiple dimensions and inspiring their creative thinking.

Physical education is divided into traditional physical education, special physical education，and after-school classes. The standard physical education class focuses on the professors of physical training and conventional sports. Special sports classes include baseball, tennis, swimming, handball, football, golf, etc. After class, students can choose different sports according to their hobbies. Learning sports skills and understanding the rules of the game also cultivate students' sense of teamwork and rules. At the same time, it incorporates motivational education and frustration education to cultivate students' self-confidence, bravery, tolerance, strength, and respect for the excellent qualities of their opponents.
The school has world-class sports venues and teaching hardware facilities, such as the blue track of the IAAF Golden League specification, tennis courts built according to the standards of the China Open Diamond Stadium, indoor/outdoor baseball (softball) fields, and 50-meter racetrack, swimming pool, golf range, etc. On school days, all venues are open to students. In addition to physical education, students can also use school venues and teaching facilities in daily training activities.

Faculty: The sports courses are jointly taught by local and international teachers, including graduates with a master’s degree from prestigious colleges and universities in China, such as Beijing Normal University, Capital Normal University, and Beijing Sport University, as well as many retired Olympians and professional coaches. They have achieved outstanding accomplishments in their professional area and accumulated rich teaching experience and extensive know-how in team leading for all sorts of competitions. Through the cooperation between Kaiwen Academy and renowned sports organizations at home and abroad, we have hired professional coaches from Major League Baseball (MLB), China Open, and the Chinese National Swimming Team (the synchronized swimming coach is a former world champion), among others, to deliver our featured sports courses.

The school offers Advanced Placement (AP) for those with a solid foundation in their core courses.  AP is a program created by the College Board which offers college-level curriculam and examinations to high school students. From the 2020 – 2021 academic year, our school opened almost 19 AP classes for students, which include Micro-economics, AP Statistics, AP Physics, AP Chemistry, AP Computer science, AP Psychology, AP Economics and AP Art History etc.
The AP curriculum adopts the double-track parallel selection between self-selection and teachers’ recommendation. Also, each class can start with three students at least. To meet the diversified learning needs of students, the number of courses will also be increasing by the year.

Faculty: All HDKWA AP teachers hold AP teacher qualifications certified by the College Board. AP teachers gather excellent teachers in various disciplines, such as teachers who graduate from Columbia University, Imperial College London, and other prestigious schools, with an academic background and rich teaching experience. The school is now an AQA authorized center and has obtained IGCSE, A-LEVEL accreditations, and teaching permits. In August 2021, the school added IGCSE and A-LEVEL to our curriculum system.

At HDKWA, the College counseling office serves 9-12th grade students primarily to get them ready for college. The college counseling team communicates with parents and students one-on-one for course selection, school activities, standard tests planning, college and primary selection, career planning and college applications in terms of embedded College Guidance courses.

Meanwhile, HDKWA offers well-known universities’ group workshops and individual-based communication with admission officers through their Secondary Schools

Standard test guidance: The school provides TOEFL and SAT tutors for high school students to improve their standardized test scores in various subjects.

Application result: In 2020, the HDKWA’s first graduating class received more than 40 offers from all over the world, including Imperial College London, New York University, University of Rochester, University of Sydney, etc. the major includes many professional aspects, such as artificial intelligence, anthropology, computer, and sociology etc.
