Beijing Haidian Kaiwen Academy is a private international school in Beijing, China, with nearly 1,200 students and 250 teachers across K–12. The school is licensed by the local Educational Committee and is accredited by WASC and Cognia. The Secondary School uses the U.S. Common Core Standards, the College Board Advanced Placement Program, and the IGCSE/A Levels for its curriculum. All courses are taught in English (except Chinese Language Arts and Chinese Social Studies) by internationally certified teachers from the U.S., U.K., and Canada. From IB economics teacher and SAT teaching authority to an international school administrator, Mr. Yongyuan Li has been working in the field of international education for many years and is a well-known expert in school curriculum building and study abroad planning and has published several related books. He has been involved in the curriculum design and teaching management of the international departments of many public schools in Beijing and Shenzhen. He has personally trained many students who have gone on to Harvard, Yale and other prestigious universities, and received letters of appreciation from many universities and liberal arts colleges in the U.S. He is a popular and charismatic mentor for students. In recent years, he has researched and creatively practiced the path of transformation of traditional schools, promoting efficiency and vitality-oriented reforms, and is a firm idealist.

For the past two decades, Mr. Scott Reid has been a leader in the field of international education as a teacher and principal, bridging different cultures and philosophies and balancing the creation of excellent academic programs.Mr. Reid has served as the principal of international schools in China, South Korea and Vancouver, Canada. Mr. Reid has experience working with American, Canadian, and UK curricula and certification processes through WASC, Cognia, IBDP, A-Level, and Canadian provincial certifications.Mr. Reid has a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, a Bachelor of Science in Education, and a Master of Education in Leadership along with teaching licenses in the USA, British Columbia, and Alberta. Mr. Reid enjoys connecting with the school community to build positive relationships, academic rigor, and well-balanced and successful students.

With a Master's degree in Education Management, is one of Beijing's first batch of Distinguished Principals, a Senior Teacher in Beijing, and a Special-grade Senior Teacher in Biology. With a rich educational career spanning 39 years, she has 18 years of experience as a principal, demonstrating extensive expertise in educational and teaching management. She has led several research projects at the national level in China, as well as at the municipal level in Beijing, and has served as the chief editor for the publication of over ten research findings.
