On the first snowy night of early winter, we kicked off our winter celebration with a festive atmosphere filled with poetry, art, joyous songs, and laughter that warmed our hearts. During this beautiful time between late autumn and early winter, all Haidian Kaiwen boarding students gathered to enjoy the 2023 Dormitory Culture Festival Night and Awards Ceremony. The event was hosted in both English and Chinese by students Fu Weize (G8), Wang Ruoyu (G10), Zheng Sicheng (G10), and Tang Tang (G11).

At Kaiwen, we study, live, eat, and have fun together. Every aspect of our learning and living at Kaiwen is carefully watched over and nurtured. School leaders always show a keen interest in the healthy growth, moral development, and academic progress of all boarding students. In his speech, Principal Li Yongyuan shared his hopes and blessings for the boarders.

Each Haidian Kaiwen boarding student carries the deep love and expectations of their parents with them. The students watched a special video featuring heartfelt messages from their parents, expressing their care and encouragement in sincere words.

In our daily boarding life, a dedicated group of teachers works tirelessly to provide all boarding students with a safe and comfortable environment and meticulous care. They listen to the students' needs and nurture their growth with love. They teach students how to live independently and interact with others. Their dedication and professional skills have earned the respect and affection of all students. They are the "life mentors" guiding students on their paths of growth.

This semester, we established the first Boarding Students' Self-Governance Committee, an organization where students manage, educate, and develop themselves. Principal Li awarded certificates of appointment to the committee representatives. The new members will bring fresh energy and creativity to our dormitory life.

In dormitory life, our dorm is our shared home. G10 student Guo Xinyi, an outstanding boarding student representative, shared her experiences living in the dormitory at Haidian Kaiwen School. Her heartfelt words expressed her love for dormitory life and her gratitude to the dormitory teachers. She has shown her appreciation for the school and teachers' care through her actions. Finally, Guo encouraged all boarding students to follow the dormitory rules and regulations, and to work together to maintain and cherish this beautiful home.
