A year ago, as freshmen, they started a new campus life at Beijing Kaiwen Academy (KWA) wearing school uniforms embroidered with the logo of a demoiselle crane. After a short school year, they have grown up and gradually fit into the primary school life. On the special day of June 1, all primary school teachers and students participated in an entry ceremony for new Young Pioneers. The ceremony had the theme of “transmit the spirit of the demoiselle crane and strive to be good KWA teenagers.”

Beijing Kaiwen Academy (KIWA) held its first TEDx event on June 1, 2018. More students got the opportunity to stand on an international stage and speak loudly before a worldwide audience. KWA secondary school students, especially, got to experience the mystic and great power of speech.

2018年，海淀凯文学校正式取得TEDx授权，让更多的学生有机会站在国际化的舞台上，向世界响亮发声。6月1日，海淀凯文首届TEDxKaiwenAcademy 活动成功举办，中学部的同学们切身地感受了演讲隐秘而伟大的力量。

一年前，他们穿着绣有蓑羽鹤的标识的校服，作为一年级的新生，开启了崭新的校园生活。在短短一学年的学习中，他们成长了，也逐渐适应了小学生活。在6月1日，这个特殊的日子里，全体小学生部师生参加了主题为“传递蓑羽鹤精神▪争做凯文好少年”的少先队入队仪式活动，共同祝贺一年级的同学正式成为合格的少先队员。

6月2日，现实主义儿童剧《北京童谣》海淀凯文学校专场演出在民族文化宫大剧院拉开帷幕，200多组家庭观看了由北京儿艺重磅打造的原创话剧。

On June 2, the realistic children’s play “Beijing Nursery Rhymes” raised the curtain especially for Kaiwen Academy (KWA) students at the Beijing Nationality Cultural Palace Theater. More than 200 families watched this original play that Beijing Children’s Art Theatre Co. Ltd. has produced.

On June 12, 2018, Haidian District held the 8th “Century Cup” Primary School Teachers’ Basic Skills Training and Demonstration Activity. Liu Li, a Chinese teacher at the KWA primary school, won first prize at a lesson introduction contest in the Sijiqing school district. Teacher Liu will represent the school in a lesson introduction contest at the Haidian District level.

“北美的大学课程中涉及很多复杂的学术内容，帮助学生通过语言测试仅仅是第一步。在ESL教学中要大力培养学生的学术性语言能力，这才是对他们真正有益的。”Andrea女士如是说。 ESL（English as a Second Language，英语作为第二语言教学课程）是针对母语非英语的并把英语作为第二语言的语言学习者的专业英文课程。海淀凯文的学生从一年级开始接受ESL课程，并且所有授课老师均来自母语为英语的国家。

2018年5月27-28日，首届TIDE国际教师发展大会在北京海淀凯文学校隆重举办。 会议为期两天，由顶思TopSchools主办，海淀凯文承办，大会得到了国际文凭组织IBO、剑桥大学国际考评部CAIE、亚洲协会国际教育中心等多方支持，500多名来自全国各地国际学校、教育机构和国际组织的嘉宾代表和一线教育工作者齐聚海淀凯文，就世界教育创新与变革浪潮下国际教师的专业成长与未来发展课题进行深入探讨和交流。
