“知大局，通辩辞，全智勇，能决断”，是为两千多年前叱咤烽烟战国之纵横家。2018年4月28-29日，海淀凯文两支中学组辩论队参加了由清华附中国际部与纵横杯组委会联合举办 “纵横杯” （第四届 “亚洲杯” ）中学华语辩论锦标赛的初赛和复赛。最终，海淀凯文辩论队和来自11所国际学校的16支队伍同台交锋，充分展现自我风采，不但获得了分站赛亚军的好成绩，还受邀观摩将在香港举行的总决赛。

Political strategists (or Zongheng Jia in Chinese), who “had a big picture of the situation, excelled at debate, had wisdom and courage, and were good at making decisions”, played an important historical role during the Warring States period more than 2,000 years ago. On April 28-29, 2018, two Beijing Kaiwen Academy (KWA) debating teams participated in preliminary and quarter finals of the “Zongheng Cup” (4th Asian Cup) Secondary School Chinese Debate Competition. Tsinghua International School (THIS) and the “Zongheng Cup” Debate Competition Organizing Committee jointly organized the event. KWA teams and 16 other teams from 11 international schools attended the competition. In the end, KWA debate teams won runner-up of the competition and were invited to observe the finals to be held in Hong Kong.

2018年5月6日，凯文-曼城足球嘉年华活动在北京海淀凯文学校隆重举办，100多组家庭到场参加了活动。现场，来自英国曼城足球俱乐部的8名青训教练给足球少年们带来了专业的足球课程，和大家共同体验足球带来的快乐。

On May 6, 2018, the KWA-Manchester City Football Carnival was ceremoniously held at Beijing Kaiwen Academy (KWA). More than 100 families attended the event. At the scene, eight youth training coaches from the Manchester City Football Club of the United Kingdom brought professional football lessons to KWA football teenagers and shared the joy of football with them.

“无体育，不清华”是对百年清华体育精神的诠释。海淀凯文也同样将其继承并发扬，成为三大办学特色之一。2018年4月28日，繁花盛开，春光正好，海淀凯文举办了盛大的春季运动会，师生共享运动带来的快乐。

The saying “No sports, no Tsinghua” can best interpret the sportsmanship of the centennial Tsinghua. Beijing Kaiwen Academy (KWA) inherited and further developed this sportsmanship. Now sports education has become one of KWA’s three major features. On April 28, 2018, KWA held a grand spring sports meeting at a time when flowers were in full bloom and spring was at its best. At the sports meeting, KWA teachers and students shared the joy of sports.

两周前，语文组包晓东老师带领同学们去校园踏青赏景，学习写景作文。7年D班的韩思羽同学在朋友圈分享了课堂照片，她的父亲有感而发给女儿留言。其中关于如何引用古诗描写春天的部分被包老师留意，于是便邀请了这位文学爱好者给大家上了一堂别开生面的古诗词鉴赏课。

Two weeks ago, Bao Xiaodong, a Chinese teacher at Beijing Kaiwen Academy (KWA), led his students around the campus to enjoy the scenery and taught them how to write scenery compositions. Han Siyu, a Class D Grade 7 student, shared some classroom photos through WeChat’s “Moments.” Her father left her a message that expressed his feelings after seeing these photos. The part of the message on how to quote ancient poems to depict the spring caught teacher Bao’s attention. So he invited this literary enthusiast to give KWA students a special lecture on how to appreciate ancient Chinese poems.

科学技术是复杂而深奥的，但在海淀凯子同学们的眼里，学习科学知识的过程却是有趣生动的。 4月25日，7、8年级的同学们带着 “小任务” 来到中国科学技术馆，这已经是 “科学活动月” 的第三次Field Trip。组织活动时，科学组的老师们精心设计了课题调研表，内容涉及了科技馆内5大场馆下的百余个小课题。这种带着问题来探索知识的方式，不但帮助学生们更高效地参观展馆，也进一步启发他们对课上内容的深入思考。
