From August 12 to 16, 2019, students of grade 10 to 12 in Kaiwen Academy, Haidian District of Beijing, participated in the Kaiwen Program for Global Leaders. As a part of the school’s courses system, the program provides professional and tailor-made training courses based on students’ personalities, qualities and capabilities of certain growth stage so as to foster global perspective, social abilities, analytic thinking and leadership among them. The abilities will better prepare the students with application for top universities in the United Kingdom and United States, apart from the benefits to their personal growth and development.

“Leadership fundamentals,” “You need to change,” “From good to great,” “Making action plans,” and “Dedicated to action.” Under these themes, inspirational lectures combine with interactive experience activities to expose Kaiwen students into a learning world where they can understand different leadership styles, boosting their confidence and courage in leadership, nurturing their leadership skills applicable to daily life and study, and sowing the seeds of leaderships in their hearts.  

In each new group, members realize their unique importance and make meaningful and positive changes.

On August 16, 2019, an exhibition of the Kaiwen Program for Global Leaders was held at H315 of the school. Students went on the stage in eight groups and made presentations on eight themes of reading, health, climate change, global hunger, poverty eradication, environmental preservation, gender equality and children education.

With a global perspective and strong sympathy, Kaiwen students spot problems, analyze them and solve them. They are well aware of their responsibilities in social affairs and the importance of involvement. Principles of global perspective, social contribution and immediate action hold great appeal among them.

The Kaiwen Program for Global Leaders enables students to have a deep understanding of challenges the youth on the planet is facing. It fosters them a concept that cooperation and innovation are the solution to global challenges. The theories and skills they acquired in this program will help them play a constructive role in future leadership programs in their school, community and even society.
