" A slight chill is just a pleasant weather. " The autumn is the harvest season, the laborers harvest the fruits in the field, the students harvest half-semester knowledge. It is the right time for an autumn outing to carry out the “harvest” education.

On September 28, 2018, students from the second and third grades of elementary school, led by the teachers, paid an autumn outing to Fengtai Purple Valley, enjoying the sea of flowers, planting green plants, drawing kites, and picking up fruits... in addition to enjoy the beautiful autumn scenery, a lot of fun to play games, they put into practices of the knowledge in books.

 “What is the role of lavender aroma?” “What part of the sweet potato we dug is this?” “How do you say “Mabiancao”(verbena) in English?” Chinese and foreign teachers taught students relevant knowledge through guiding students to raise questions and answering their questions. The park reflects the strong environmental protection awareness everywhere and has many such signs as Love Flowers and Trees, Garbage Classification. Through the activity, the students learned more things and enjoyed the harmony between human and nature in the natural oxygen bar full of trees.

 

The outdoor class allowed students to discover the beauty and inspire everyone to think actively. This is also a compulsory course for comprehensive education advocated by Kaiwen. During the activity, Chinese and foreign teachers and class teachers collaborated each other to integrate the education concept and interdisciplinary education of Chinese and Western cultures, making students think more and act more, cultivate sentiments in the activities, and truly realized the education concept of “Learning by visiting，Thinking by learning”.
