On April 16, Haidian Kaiwen Academy launched an education program with the theme of practicing core socialist values. Students of grade eight visited exhibitions of jades, porcelain and bronze ware at the Capital Museum to learn the Chinese history and traditional customs of Beijing.
Students were led to exhibition halls of different themes by tour guides in groups. The dim lights create an ambiance of antique and mystery. The glass on both sides of the lane showcases glittering jades. Sitting around the glass showcases, students listened to the history of jades, how the bronze ware was made, and interesting knowledge of history.
Another group visited exhibition halls showcasing the Chinese porcelain and traditional customs of Beijing. Strolling around the well-displayed porcelain, observing the colorful which have connotations of antique beauty, and getting immersive in the celebrations of traditional wedding and birthday ceremonies in Beijing quadruple courtyard, students had their horizon broadened.
During the visit, students kept civilities in mind. They listened carefully to the tour guide and took notes of new knowledge, showcasing the morale as students of Haidian Kaiwen Academy. Returning school, they had group discussions to share what they had learned from the trip. The learning tasks list was further improved.
The trip brings students of Haidian Kaiwen Academy close to the long history of China and its profound culture. Students have a better understanding of the country and society. With invigorated patriotism, they become more motivated to study for the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
