Over the recent years, campus safety has become a topic attracting widespread public attention. It is a matter of the personal safety of each teacher and student, the development of the school and the happiness of each family. Kaiwen in Haidian District has been placing the safety management of the school and students as the top priority.
Since its establishment, Kaiwen in Haidian has developed a complete set of systems to check safety hazards and manage the daily routines. It has formulated rules and regulations concerning school safety, such as management system for dormitories and property facilities inspection system.
While effectively implementing the daily inspection and management, Kaiwen works to improve teachers’ and students’ safety awareness so as to prevent safety incidents from happening. On January 21, 2019, Kaiwen invited Zhang Xihe, a police officer from local Xishan Police Station to the school. He gave the first safety lecture in the New Year to the faculty and students.
With the theme, “what we can do to prevent safety incidence on campus?” Zhang shard knowledge of self-protection measures especially in case of fire, stampede or school bullying.
Zhang shared relating cases so that students could better understand that school safety should be safeguarded by everyone. In the interaction session, he answered students’ specific questions.
Kaiwen in Haidian launches regular safety training programs for the faculty and students. They cover courses of how to respond to emergencies, and safety and fire prevention drills. While building a complete network for prevention, the academy also educates students to properly deal with emergencies met out of school.
As the lunar New Year is approaching, the academy reminds students of guarding against theft and burglary. Do not take food or beverage from strangers, and stay vigilant about personal and property safety when traveling.
