The breeze blows bamboo leaves like a bow dancing on the strings. Fallen leaves float on the water like fingertips stroking the keys on a musical instrument. Kaiwen campus in autumn is bursting with an autumn melody.
On October 30, Kaiwen Academy ceremoniously staged the Melody in Autumn—Kaiwen Series Golden Autumn Chamber Music Concerts. More than a dozen artists from the China Philharmonic Orchestra, the National Centre for the Performing Arts, and the China National Symphony Orchestra presented an audiovisual feast for Kaiwen students and their parents.
Mr. Sun Dapeng, the school’s executive principal, makes a speech.
Listening to the familiar melody of the “City of the Sky”, the determined face of Pasu in difficulties seemed to be right in front of our eyes.
The notes of “Butterfly Lovers” appeared to have turned into butterflies flying in the concert hall.
Through the melody, the audience felt the passion of the composers. At the concert, Kaiwen students Yan Wenhan, Wu Guanchen, Li Chenwei, Ding Ruichen, Ding Kexin, and Qin Ke’en displayed their music talent.
Yan Wenhan passionately sings the song “Jiu Er.”
Wu Guanchen plays Chopin’s inspiring Revolutionary Etude.
Saxophone solo by Li Chenwei
Duet of cello and violin by Ding Ruichen and Ding Kexin
Twelve Mozart violin and piano sonatas
The first grader Qin Ke’en’s wonderful performance left a deep impression on the audience.
Human languages have national boundaries, whereas music is universal. Wonderful music can reach the depths of one’s soul. Kaiwen Academy has always adhered to one of its educational philosophies—the cultivation of the students’ artistic qualities.
Face-to-face contact with artists and listening to well-known Chinese and foreign music can create a more vivid, interesting learning environment for students, deepen their experience of music as art, and allow them to have a more profound understanding of the cultural charm of different countries. Learn while enjoying the art, and think while listening to soothing music. Kaiwen Academy will hold a series of concerts in the future, so that the students can improve their artistic accomplishments and achieve all-around development in a relaxed atmosphere.
