You are blossoms on trees,
and swallows that whisper between beams.
You are love, warmth, and hope.
You are the April of the human world.
—Lin Huiying
Some say that Kaiwen Academy (KWA) is like a beauty who looks more glamorous when flowers bloom in April.
First Grade
First graders appreciate spring flowers.
What are the shapes, colors, and tastes of magnolia, lilac, and peach?
What are the differences between winter jasmine and forsythia flowers?
The children turn spring into beautiful words.
They create and chant spring poems in the spring breeze,
and paint the spring as in their hearts.
Second Grade
Second graders carefully observe plants, animals, and people in spring. Chinese, music, and art teachers, and class advisers all describe the changes in spring in their respective ways. In Chinese classes, children collect idioms, poems, and essays about spring. In art classes, children pick up a brush and paint the spring as in their hearts. In music classes, children sing songs in praise of spring. The class adviser leads the children to read ancient spring poems aloud whenever there is the time. Through the various activities, the students have learned how to observe things from multiple angles, how to study and think about problems, and how to work as a team.
Third Grade
Third graders explore the footsteps of spring, feel the colors of spring, and try to discover the beauty of spring on the beautiful KWA campus.
In classes, the students appreciate the spring described in articles by famous writers, muse over the hidden meaning of spring, and laud the splendor of spring. During the holidays, the students present the spring in their eyes and express their good wishes in the form of paintings, calligraphy, pictorials, and photos.
Fourth Grade
Fourth graders record the shadow of spring in their own way. The children come outdoors and shoot the most beautiful spring scenery in the spring breeze when the spring is at its best. On the photos, they add their own poems. The grass is green and the children are writing a composition amid the beautiful spring scenery. Isn’t it a happy thing?
Fifth Grade
Amid the footsteps of spring, fifth graders listen carefully to the voice of spring, describe the colors of spring, compose a melody of spring, experience the poetry of spring, tell the story of spring, and perceive the philosophy contained in spring...With spring thick in the air, teachers and students, hand in hand, feel spring, imagine spring, enjoy the beauty of nature, and draw strength from nature.
