Beijing Haidian Kaiwen Academy 2016-2017 End of School Year Ceremony was held at the Auditorium. All the faculties and parents gathered and looked back at the first year of KWA and shared their memories.

Executive Principal Opening Remarks

At the beginning of the ceremony, Ms. Zhou Zhaoyu, the executive principal of the Haidian Kaiwen School, concluded school's achievements in the past year and looked forward to the changes next school year in her opening remarks. She said that in the past year, KWA kept practicing international education system combining English and Chinese, Chinese and Western, arts and science, technology and sports and strived to create a platform with international perspective for students. In the new school year, more students and new teachers will join in KWA. By August 2017, the total number of teachers in the school will be 88, including 58 international teachers and 30 local teachers. At the same time, KWA will also invite the world's top league coaches and well-known institutions to provide more comprehensive and better education.

For a school, the most important are excellent teachers and students. At the ceremony, four Chinese and international teachers from primary and middle school spoke as representatives, sharing their experiences with students and their feelings. Tian Ziqi from Grade Three, Chen Suqi from Grade Eight, Shu Qixuan from Grade Nine on behalf of primary school, junior high school, high school students talked about their own changes and growth in KWA. On the stage, students spoke in both Chinese and English with great manners, which is a summary of a year’s life and a witness for their own growth.

As the executive principal of KWA Ms. Zhou has said, we are leading a road of innovation. What we are going to build is not an ordinary international school, but a Chinese school with international quality striving to cultivate talents with international perspective who love their family and country. KWA people should be like a demoiselle crane with a strong perseverance to overcome all kinds of difficulties. Even if each of us is slightly different, as long as we support each other, and fly toward the same direction as high as we can, we can conquer the peak!
