Haidian Kaiwen offers 173 after-school activities for students in grades K12, covering areas such as STEAM, financial literacy, traditional culture, design, sports, cultural thinking, dance, academics, speech and debate, art, puzzles, music, language, and general academics. The program allows students to learn and develop their potential beyond the classroom.
Each semester, students choose their courses and are encouraged to make independent choices that suit their needs. Teachers use appropriate teaching methods during the class to guide students to express themselves and enhance their creativity and expression. Recognizing and encouraging of students' abilities help them grow into courageous and responsible young adults.
The ASA is divided into twelve categories: Business Thinking, Academic, Life Skills, Language, Art, and others, which are designed to enhance students' independent learning skills and allow them to discover their own interests and work towards them. In the life skills classes, students learn life skills, learn self-discipline, and strive to make learning a lifelong habit.
ASA is scheduled once a semester for selection, and while coordinating the different needs of students, some representative and outstanding classes are retained to foster perseverance. Students will gain critical thinking skills and independent problem-solving abilities in the course.
