Music represents pleasure and beauty.

With melody in ears, we meet again with stringed instruments and songs in this summer gala to share our dream of music.

At the end of May in 2019, with the advent of Summer Music Festival of Haidian Kaiwen Academy, String Music Concert, Chorus Concert and Piano Concert guided by teachers of Music Department and participated by students of Kaiwen Academy were presented one after another, bringing teachers, students and parents of the school three melodious audio and visual feasts. Meanwhile, the teachers of Music Department presented the Classical Concert, leading the audience to re-experience the beauty of classical music.

Summer Music Festival is a yearly artistic gala of Kaiwen Academy that enables the audience to listen to and appreciate melodies and musical works mainly through live performance, so as to further stimulate interests of students, create a rich artistic atmosphere and inject more positive energy.

At Kaiwen Academy, students can choose the type of music class as they like, such as violin, piano and vocal music. Music classes stage a favorable platform for free choice of students and their development of specialty. This exhibits one of the educational philosophies of Kaiwen Academy, “freedom” --- fully respecting each student’s personality, providing students with free space to develop, and hoping for the students to be able to choose freely in the future.

String Music Concert: Dance of Bows and Strings

On May 28, 2019, String Music Concert of the Summer Music Festival of Haidian Kaiwen Academy was held in the lecture hall. Students with passion for string music presented themselves as violinists, violists and cellists to play ensemble with other students and teachers and perform the classic works by Beethoven, Schumann, Bach and Mozart, bringing the audience an audio and visual feast.

Violin, viola and cello, each musical instrument has its unique charm, leading the audience through the classic music with clean notes.

Sometimes powerful and sometimes gentle, the students won over the entire audience with proficient skills, careful treatment and devoted emotions.

The unique performance wound through the classical and modern and through the traditional and popular. Our interest and passion for string music have been as always.

We come all the way to where we are and this moment will be kept in mind forever.

Teaching of string music at Kaiwen Academy explores a new mode of study for musical instruments, guiding the students to learn basic music theories, basic violin positions and common types of rhythms amid teacher-student cooperation and performance of short musical compositions. After repeated exercises, performance of the students has been improved substantially.

Chorus Concert: Sing Our Songs for You

On May 28, 2019, Chorus Concert of the Summer Music Festival of Haidian Kaiwen Academy was held in the lecture hall. The students sang eight songs either Lyrical or touching, such as “Belt and Road”, “Hello Tomorrow”, “You Raise Me Up” and “Remember Me”. The melodious tunes, progressive harmonies and exquisite emotions touched every person in the audience.

Like the Pandora's Box that was opened, the flowing songs were intertwined with magical, elegant and indiscernible notes, which turned into spells to awaken our sleeping hearing.

Dynamic rhythms, passionate melodies and intertwined songs of joy lingered over the lecture hall and drove the concert to a new high!

Chorus is very popular in Kaiwen Academy. With the guidance of the teachers from Music Department, the students have presented several wonderful performances, not only participating in the recording of “Let’s Go Belt and Road” by Xinhua News Agency, but also showing the pleasant voice of “little demoiselle cranes” at each Campus Open Day.

During daily exercises, the teachers pay attention to cultivating the students for vocal musical skills and techniques as well as abilities of appreciation and expression of musical works. They help the students study in depth how to express content of the works, shape artistic images and exhibit artistic charm and positive spirit in the form of vocal music.

Piano Concert: Into the Fairyland of Black and White Keys

On May 29, 2019, Piano Concert of the Summer Music Festival of Haidian Kaiwen Academy was held in the lecture hall. Melodies flew out of the fingertips of the students, who performed the classic compositions by Chopin, Schubert and Mozart etc. in solo or piano duet. The students drew open the curtain of a musical feast with their love and passion for music.

As in a fairyland, the fingertips danced on black and white keys, with melodious notes lingering along. Let’s feel the pleasure, romance and beauty together.

Open the mind to listen to the music with heart and enjoy the melody of piano.

Composers mix it with gentle blenders, and players enrich it with flavorings of love.

In the pure and natural rhythms, dust on the eyes is wiped off. We are able to see the greater subtleness and embrace all the beauty in this world.

Piano teaching at Kaiwen Academy enables the students to not only play notes, but more importantly perform music so full of feelings and content that audience are touched and impressed. To this end, teachers of Music Department make great efforts to improve imagination of the students, who will be better at expressing music when playing the piano.

During daily exercises, the students learn not only music scores, but also characteristics of music, musical nature of compositions and music styles in different times. In this way, their horizon for music is broadened, comprehensive quality improved and musical expression refined.

Classical Concert: Music for You

On June 5, 2019, Classical Concert of the Summer Music Festival of Haidian Kaiwen Academy was held in the lecture hall. Teachers from Music Department including Li Qian and Yury Alexov and teachers that were invited such as Zhou Li and Sun Yimei presented a musical feast, impressing the audience with performance of classic compositions by Mozart, Beethoven, Dvorak and Shostakovich. Once completed, the performance received soaring applauses across the hall.

Sound is one of the most direct channels of contact with the world for children. Turning sound into notes and integrating feelings and stories, the pieces of heavenly music are therefore born. The teachers of Music Department not only bring musicians to the audience, but also enable the students for zero-distance contact with classical music and experience of professional live performance. This is also the privilege of study at Kaiwen Academy. Kaiwen is dedicated to creating opportunities for the students, giving play to their talent and supporting them in pursuit of excellence!

With music winding through the artistic feast, every corner of the campus is bathed in the sunlight of art.

Jumping notes are the result of efforts. The students of Kaiwen Academy learn from each other and grow together in playing stringed instruments and piano and performing chorus and enjoy the fun of music together.
